Bring a reference, not an incomplete seating story
A removable seat cushion can show its surface and construction, but it may not explain the fixed back or adjacent corner. Photograph the whole seating bay before removing anything. Tell us which pieces are already loose and which are still fastened to the vessel.
Choose the workshop discussion or boat assessment
Small loose pieces may be useful at an agreed Davie appointment. Large backs, built-in seats and fitted covers need a discussion of their on-board position. Do not dismantle or transport fixed components just to obtain an estimate; send pictures so the appropriate assessment can be planned.
State whether the boat is stored or afloat
If the vessel moves between storage and the water, identify where it will be accessible on the appointment date. Hollywood Marina is one local location reference. Include the actual dock or storage position and who can arrange access, rather than assuming the boat will be in its usual place.
Plan the complete set before leaving pieces
List what is being recovered, what needs new filling and what will be retained. Include the date you next need the seating installed. Fabrication and any return fitting follow the approved scope; a workshop conversation does not establish a completion date or authorize additional work.
Prepare your Hollywood project
- Full seating bay before pieces are removed.
- Loose items separated from fixed components.
- Stored or afloat status on the proposed visit date.
- The next date the seating needs to be available.

Before we visit
Should I remove fixed seats before a Hollywood upholstery visit?
Please send photographs first. We can discuss whether measurements should happen at the boat and which loose pieces would help at the workshop.
Can I drop cushions at the Davie workshop on my way from Hollywood?
Arrange the appointment and agree what to bring before traveling. The team may be working at a vessel, and a loose cushion may need photographs of its installed position.
Discuss Your Hollywood Project
