APEX UPHOLSTERY / DAVIE WORKSHOP

Boat Enclosures & Clear Panels

An enclosure needs more than a set of panels. It has to fit the boat and allow the area to be used as intended. We discuss cockpit and flybridge enclosures, dodgers and replacement clear panels.

Show the complete opening

Photograph the covered area, frame and existing panels. Include where you enter, which sections open and how the pieces attach to the boat.

Replace selected panels or review the set

One damaged panel and an enclosure approaching the end of its useful life are different orders. We assess what can be retained and define the proposed replacements.

Agree the specification before sewing

Panel layout, closures, material and fittings are part of the proposal. Specific products and their properties are discussed for the order rather than promised from a generic service page.

YOUR PROPOSAL

What shapes the scope and price

01

Panel system

A single replacement panel may need to connect with older zippers and tracks. The condition of those adjoining parts matters.

02

Visibility and handling

Window material, opening layout and storage requirements are specified for the way the enclosure will be used.

What to send with your request

  • Every side of the enclosure with doors and panels closed.
  • Zippers, tracks, snaps and the edges adjoining the top.
  • Which panels need replacement and how you use the openings.

Travel agreed for your project

Travel charges may apply. Any charge is agreed before the visit, based on your location and project.

Before we visit

Can you replace a clear panel within an existing enclosure?

We can assess it. The surrounding canvas, closures and panel construction affect whether a selected replacement is appropriate.

What should I photograph first?

The complete enclosure from inside and outside, followed by damaged panels and attachment details.

Discuss Your Project

Tell us which pieces need work. Include photos, your location, and any preferred dates.
