Fit starts with the berth
Send photographs of the empty berth and any existing mattress. Curves, corners and access panels are useful to see before the measurement visit.
Discuss how it should feel
Tell us what you want to change about the current support or construction. Filling and the final specification are agreed for the order.
Plan getting it aboard
A mattress must reach the berth as well as fit it. Cabin entrances and the route through the boat are reviewed before fabrication.
YOUR PROPOSAL
What shapes the scope and price
Berth geometry
Tapered sides, rounded corners and access to storage require a fitted pattern rather than a standard rectangular size.
Comfort and access
Mattress depth, support and handling sections are discussed together with the clearance available aboard.
What to send with your request
- The bare berth, its access hatch and nearby obstructions.
- The existing mattress in place and approximate dimensions.
- Your preferred feel and any need for a split or hinged section.
Travel agreed for your project
Travel charges may apply. Any charge is agreed before the visit, based on your location and project.
